Checking in to the Senato Hotel

Senato Hotel 22 Via Senato 20121 Milano

I loved every little detail about this chic little boutique hotel in the Senato area. The quiet elegance and décor the moment you step inside. The bedroom that feels like one’s dream home bedroom (no hotel-like feel), breakfast and copious amounts of cappuccinos (keep them coming per favore!) sat on the balmy garden terrace on the ground floor! And its nifty little location that had my fash foot forward in Prada or cooling off in an enchanting Milanese park in five minutes.

Lunch in the courtyard of Il Salumaio Di Montenapoleone

Il Salumaio Di Montenapoleone, Via Santo Spirito, 10, Milano MI, Italy

I loved the real classical feel of this hidden courtyard restaurant on this beautiful Milanese back-street near Senato – Via Santa Spirito! Our lunch set on the balmy courtyard was possibly my most enjoyable culinary experience in Milan. The most incredible creamy burrata, followed by a seafood Milanese risotto and I am still dreaming of the dark chocolate mint Panna cotta! For something a little bit different, I also loved our evening at Carlo E Camilla in Segheria. An old sawmill turned into the most dramatic industrial chic space.

10 Corso Como,

Corso Como 10, 20154 Milano, Italy

I spent a Sunday morning exploring Milan’s style mecca – 10 Corso Como. A concept-store and restaurant which kind of reminded me of Colette in Paris. A great big Milanese inspiration board! It has a lovely terrace for drinks and lunch and a great atmosphere! Upstairs there’s a fab gallery and book-store and these big beautiful open windows with views that spill out onto the most unusual buildings with overflowing greenery! It’s not far from Eataly – an Italian gourmet foodie heaven mega-store where I lost myself for hours!

Cappuccinos, Gelato, Prada & the Galleria

Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, 63-65, 20121 Milano

It wouldn’t be a visit to Milan without popping down to the world’s oldest shopping galleria, for gelato and to fall in love with everything chez Prada! In search of Cappuccinos I headed to Milan’s top cake stop! Loved the buzzy atmosphere, décor and standing coffee bar at Pasticceria Marchesi! Also part of the Prada family.
