Bonjour 2015! Over the last few days, I’ve been looking back through the archives to share with you 14 of my most memorable moments from the year that has been 2014. I hope you’ll find something here to inspire you. Here’s to a new year, new dreams and thank you again for being here with me.

The Berlin Insider

Under the Berlin snow, I had the pleasure of spending a morning drinking coffee and chatting with Marta, food stylist and founder of the blog, “What should I eat for breakfast today” at the WestBerlin café. Marta’s insider guide to Berlin is packed with great tips & addresses and filled with beautiful images from her blog. It’s still one of my favourites from this series.

A week of chic

For fashion week in March, I teamed up with Kate from Nettement Chic to bring you a fun little video series called ‘A week of chic’. We meet with Paris fashion blogeuse Camille at the Café Kitsuné. Moving on for a fashion breakfast chez Claus, then on to Merci’s used book café for a coffee with Bernie (the sartorial star of the white shirt). We reach our final stop and alight at Paris’ grand fashion central, Colette. We chat about all things fashion week with Guillaume Salmon (head of press relations) inside this celebrated concept store.

Buly

The Buly Boutique, situated on Rue Bonaparte is undeniably one of the most beautiful discoveries I’ve made in Paris. From the moment I stepped inside, I have been fascinated with their niche scented and beautifully packaged offerings. Meeting co-founder Victoire de Tailac for tea at Ladurée to chat about Buly, beauty and Parisian chic was a real highlight for me. In Victoire’s insiders guide she shares the inspiration behind the creation of Buly, her daily beauty rituals and insider tips. One of the most popular reads this year.

Ralph Lauren’s RRL Riders Tour 2014

In May Ralph Lauren hosted a vintage bike ride starting in the French countryside and finishing outside Ralph Lauren on boulevard St Germain. A fan of both the RRL style and brunches en terrace of Ralph’s restaurant, I had a feeling this was going to be a great event. We brunched on champagne and mini burgers, listened to the cool country vibes and voice of Fiona Culley and watched all that inspiring style motor by.

Come Fly with me

“Was this really happening? It was hard to conceive that in minutes this dormant balloon would be carrying us over the fields of Champagne. The reality of what was about to unfold, slowly began to engulf me.” Come fly with me over the champagne valleys, an experience I will never easily forget or come down from soon.

Club 55

Soft scents of mimosa and sea salt infuse the air. Waiters duck and dive, hustle and bustle to bring tasty plates to the tables. Light blue table cloths and plates reflect the colours of the Mediterranean. Barefoot boat folk arrive in panamas and kaftans and find old friends. An atmosphere so electric, it spills out to the water’s edge. Lunch at Club 55 and lunch at Peron were two of my favourite sea-side lunch escapes.

Those two weeks in Provence

Early morning walks through the morning mist and the violet haze from the lavender field to catch the sunrise at Lacoste. Pausing at the little café at the top of the village to watch the sunrise and soak up the views. Stopping by the local boulangerie to pick up warm baguettes and croissants to bring back home for long lazy breakfasts. Those two weeks in Provence...

Inside Isabel Marrant’s studio

She draws parallels between her creative process and being a chef, she thinks it’s best to watch fashion week naked from your sofa, she’s electric, her smile infectious, she’s the leading lady behind her own eponymous label, she is, Isabel Marant. The day we meet to interview Isabel Marant for a week of chic was a true highlight to say the least.

The day I combined two of my passions; exploring Parisian food markets and cooking up fresh Italian food with a wonderful expert on Italian cuisine. Here is a little taster of one marvellous Parisian morning with the gorgeous Italian girl Eleonora Galasso.
