On The Coffee Table

I am leaving for London today. A long weekend to catch up with friends and family. It’s been a while since my last visit so I am really excited to see what London town has in store.

What I love about leaving Paris, is coming back. To see La Tour Eiffel sparkle (cliché as it may sound) for the first time, to walk through Le Jardin du Luxembourg at dusk, the smell of croissants wafting from from the local boulangerie as you walk down the street. There’s something just so undeniably magical about Paris, even after living here for four years.

So this month’s coffee table is inspired by some of the small things that evoke the magic of Paris: like this silk print illustration which came as a special surprise in the post from my favourite Parisian illustrator. It captures the magic of Paris so perfectly well. (Merci mille foie Merrit). Roses comme habitude from Cler Fleur on Rue Cler. Plate and coffee cup from Astier de Villatte, Rose dusted dark chocolates (divinely delicious with coffee) from Pierre Marcolini’s new chocolatierie on Rue St Honoré (you have to try), and vintage gold spoons from a local brocante. The small things that never tire…

Okay, got a go…London’s calling.
