Stepping into the new Buly boutique on Rue Bonaparte, is like stepping into a century old French style apothecary, reimagined for today. A world filled with mysteries, histories and scents that evoke beauty secrets from across the world. Shelves are stacked with oils, perfumes, clays, products and accessories, whispering timeless charms and traditions. Like looking through a kaleidoscope, the décor is awash with colour, swirling italian marble, earthy woods in beautiful patterns and forms. It’s a decorative dream.
A world so far away from the traditional pharmacy and the products that we have become accustomed to. Oils and powders are displayed in grand glass jars and can be bought and tried in small doses (10 & 50ml). Candles, creams and soaps are packaged and designed originally. Behind the beauty counter, co-founder and French belle Victoire de Taillac, equipped with a fountain of beauty knowledge, guides clientele elegantly through an array of accessories and essentials, with a very personalised approach.
In Paris many pharmacies still have the external facade of the old apothecary, but none contain the original heritage and interiors. This is what makes the Buly experience unique: it opens the door to a contemporary Parisian apothecary with the original heritage and knowledge that have been passed down for hundreds of years.
Buly opens the doors to our imagination, to the mysteries of the past and to the nouveau beauty classics of today.
