A mini guide to the Canal St martin

The area and atmosphere around the Canal St Martin are spectacularly unique, especially in autumn. The trees along the canal are a shower of scarlet, green and gold. The iconic green bridges over the canals are a perfect spot to watch the boats come through and the only place in Paris where you can view the changing of the locks. It’s so charming. Around the canal, you have a very lively urban feel with great new concept stores, new cafés, mouth watering bakeries and a distinct style and feel. It’s a wonderful blend of old meets new Paris. TrésorParisien met with Lauren Kennedy Malpas, from ‘The House that Jack Built’ to explore life and style in the 10th and to share some October style inspiration with you from the banks of the Canal St Martin.
